Module 6 - Suitability Analysis

This map shows the suitability analysis results. This module has been extremely difficult for me. I followed all the steps in the lab instructions and feel that I have produced a decent map however, I am struggling to complete the questions in the process summary.  

Module 5 - Damage Assessment

  On October 29, 2012 Hurricane Sandy made landfall near Atlantic City, NJ as a Category 1 storm. Using data provided, I created the map above to show the track and details of the storm as it progressed north through the Atlantic Ocean and made landfall in the Northeastern United States. Below is my assessment of the damages in the Ocean County study area. I found the most difficulty determining between minor damages or properties that appeared to be affected but not damaged. I think those types of assessments would be best done on the ground.
