Module 1 - Visual Interpretation

Image
This first module of GIS 4035 walked through feature identification using color, texture, shape/size, patterns, shadows, and association of aerial images. Once I remembered how to accomplish the various tasks in ArcGIS Pro I was surprised at how easy it was to pick out the features. I look forward to learning more in this class and becoming more proficient using aerial photography.

Module 6 - Georeferencing, Editing, and 3D

Creating this map was interesting. In developing my final output I tried to include all requested information and keep the map legible and clean. I feel that it is still fairly cluttered. I did manage to change the symbology of the digitized building and road to make them stand out a bit more. I think my insets need more work. Overall, I enjoyed georeferencing the raster data and the survey image. It seemed like a dauting task at first until I got the hang of it.

Module 5 - Spatial Analysis

https://arcg.is/198Lzj0 I found this lab exercise facinating! I feel fairly proficient in using Excel and really enjoyed taking copied information from a webpage and turning it into usable data on a map. I did hit a couple of snags towards the end of the assignment but they turned out to be due to me overthinking and making things much harder than necessary. I think I referenced every previous lab while completing this module!
